What is Vision Zero San Jose?

on our roadways! One traffic death is one too
many. Vison Zero is our City's commitment to priori-

Plan Ahead:
Leave a few minutes early and
avoid the peak periods of student
drop‐off and pick‐up.
Come to a Complete
Stop:
Give the right‐of‐way to
pedestrians at crosswalks.
Slow Down:
Pay special a􀆩en􀆟on to school
zone speed limits.
Talk About
Traffic Safety:
Teach your child to wear
a helmet and travel with the flow
of traffic when bicycling. Use the
crosswalk and stay alert when
walking.
Share the Road:
Be pa􀆟ent and safely
share the road with
pedestrians, bicycles, autos
and school buses.
See Something/Say Something:
Be involved and share your concerns
and safety ideas with the school.
Park Legally:
Don't double park, and obey
parking prohibi􀆟ons and
􀆟me limita􀆟ons.
Stay Alert:
When driving in school areas, students can be unpredictable and distracted.
