Parent Cafe December 11 to Review Silver Oak CAASPP Test Results

The California Department of Education (DOE) has released the 2019 results of the CAASPP tests in English language arts/literacy (ELA) and math, which over 3 million students in grades 3 through 8 and grade 11 took last spring. This is the fifth year of the computer-based tests, which use California's challenging academic standards and ask students to write clearly, think critically, and solve complex problems, as they will need to do in college and 21st century careers.

A compilation of school, district and statewide results were released on October 9, 2019. These scores and your child's individual scores will tell you how your child is doing under Common Core, the updated learning standards for math and English language arts. These standards focus more on real-world skills like critical thinking and problem solving. Silver Oak scored an 87% overall in ELA and 84% overall in Math. Here is a look at Silver Oak, our Evergreen School District and California 2019 results:
